When I was hired to direct marketing and communications and drive enrollment at RCLS in 2017, the school had experienced depressed enrollment for more than a decade. The extraordinary education experience the school offered was not effectively conveyed to a millennial parent base, and the once-thriving school only limped along from year to year. The school needed a brand refresh...and a strategy.
Two years into my tenure at RCLS, the school's brand had been solidified and the community was more aware of the school, an outcome that was measured by a 60% growth in numbers of inquiries and a 35% growth in PS-K enrollment. We needed to know what was next, so the school’s principal and I together constructed a survey and developed strategic directions to present to the board. This is that presentation.
As an independent communication consultant, I was recruited by Calvary Evangelical Free Church to help them market a Christmas Eve theater production, a distinct offering amongst the usual Christmas events in the community. Since decision makers were willing to consider a budget big or small to reach their goal, I drafted a plan that allowed them options for how to direct their resources.
